We sailed on the 6th as we expected. At the station in London who should we meet but a certain Mr Evans whom we had meet at Mrs Nevins. He came up and shook hands and said he was going to America too, which [[underlined]] was [[/underlined]] a surprise, in fact it was very sudden his going. We all liked him from the first, easy manner, nice looking and amusing. I must say I was pleased. So when we got on board Papa asked Mr Mills, Mr Zmaya, Mrs Paget & Mr Evans to sit at our table, which they did. Mrs Paget as yet has only

appeared at dinner the first day out. The others have been good sailers, except Mr Zmaya who has missed several meals.

My days have been spent like this - Sunday morning Mr Evans came and sat with me from 9.30 to 12.30 which is really three quarters of an hour more than that.

Afternoon - Mr Evans from about three to 6.30

Monday - Mr Evans all morning & afternoon.

Tuesday - Mr Evans all morning & afternoon.

Wednesday - the same

To-day - the same

Most of the time we have been practically alone.
