a most beautiful time. But wait first that week came Tuesday when I lunched again at the Cottenels. I had a really nice ride with Mr. C. Wednesday I rode with Mr. Ronalds who was - out of sight - let us say. Tuesday morning came a box of flowers from Mr Sands. Friday evening about quarter to nine the man came up & said Mr Field, and I had my very first evening call. It was one I will never forget too. He had been in the country that day and picked me some sweet peas. They were lovely and I wore some

of them the next day on the yacht. Mr. C. Sands and Phil Lydig talked to me most of the way going to the wedding. Regi Ronalds, Mo and Mr Appleton and others were especially nice to me at the wedding & coming back after lunch Mr Appleton squeezed himself in by me and made himself most fascinating. That night I went to Lenox. The Sloane wedding was the 6th and it went off beautifully. Beatrice Bond stayed with us from the Monday before to the Friday afterwards.
