My heart was full, I knew it not.

Again we met, life's even flow
Had gone, and how I scarcely know
And in its place love's sweet flow

He knew not that my heart strings beat
For just the echo of his feet
Did his heart beat?

His soul reflected in his eyes
The purest soul, as in the skies
God made that soul, God made those eyes

Six months again we did not meet
This time [[strikethrough]]it was[[/strikethrough]] my heart dropped at his feet
Now life was life for we could meet

Oh blessed hope, oh thrice blessed Fate
He crosses now my path - is it too late?
Will it be joy - will it be sorrow Fate?

But Fate smiles on and never says a word
Oh Fate is my petition heard?
No answer comes, no little word
