"Jim" came to-day. Mama was there most of the time there she wrote a note, she was in the room all the time. We got on very well. Mama asked him if she could send him an invitation to the Assembly, he accepted, so of course we will meet. And he goes to the Cinderella dances & I am going to on in the Jan. the 16 I think it is.
B. Sands sent flowers Monday & to-night!

Received a note from "Jim" asking me to cotillion at the Assembly. Was already engaged. Ah how sad. Rollie sent me violets.

"Jim" asked me coming out of church if he could walk home with me. So we did & when we got here I said "Won't you come in" which was only polite and he said "yes for a moment" &
