continuous record program playing the same set of recordsds. However there are so many records they never get dull or repettious. Rachmaninoff's "Theme" played by David Rose and his orchestra is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever head.  "Braggin'" by Tony Pastor's orchestra and "Blue Dream" (band unknown) really rate high on my preferred list.

Large batch of popular magazines went on sale at the PX. They were two to three months old but we haven't read them before and they'll provide reading material for a few days at least.

Birthday card from Elaine and three [[strikethrough]] frm [[/strikethrough]] from the family. A little early but the thought is there.

Another hot, clear day today. If this kind of weather continues our usefulness will be at an end. Surely with this kind od weather there will be little use for blind landing equipment no matter [[strikethrough]]high[[/strikethrough]] how highly developed or complex. We still haven't had an officer assigned to us but I think we can get along without one.
