The first-flighters, the twenty-two paid passengers able to obtain places on the first commercial passenger trip across the North Atlantic by airplane, go on board Pan American's Dixie Clipper at Port Washington, L. I., for the take-off for Marseille via Horta and Lisbon. The 41-ton airline is one of six to be used in the service.
