L. entregou ao presidente da Pan-American a mensagem de resposta aquela que lhe fo dirigida pelopresidente da Municipalidade de Port Washington. concebida nos seguintes ternos: < >Public Relations Committee>> e em nome do povo de Port Washington me fol enviada, ao inaugurar-se a carreira aerea de passageiros entre as nossas duas cidades. M. (2:43 A. M. N, Y. time)today. The forty-one-ton flying boat, with a crew of eleven, alighted here on the Tagus River at 7:10 P.M. after a flight from Port Washington, N. Y., and a brief stop at the Azores. It was the first commercial transportation of passengers by airplane across the Atlantic. (Pan American Airways announced here Monday night that the Dixie Clipper was expected to reach Port Washington, L. I., at about 8 a. m. Tuesday.) [[/column 4]]
