Mr. W. J. Eck
Assistant to the Vice President
Southern Railway
Washington, D.C.

Dear Mr. Eck:
As a passenger on the epoch-making flight of Pan American Airways' "Dixie Clipper" carrying the first transatlantic commercial passengers, you and your fellow travellers helped to make history.

As a memento of that flight, I am pleased to forward to you a copy of the record of your impressions as you spoke into the Ediphone machine, together with transcriptions of the records made by other passengers.

These have been prepared for you and are sent with the compliments of the Ediphone Division, Thomas A. Edison, Inc., to keep among your other souveniers.

We hope you will enjoy reading and keeping them.

Cordially yours,
