growing in igapo forest
along igarape. Small [[?]] 
completely immerse. Culm
leaning on vegetation, up
to 5m ±.  Heavy walls
with small lumen in
center of internode. Surface
smooth. [[strikethrough]] Culm [[/strikethrough]] Internodes rather short. [[?]] [[?]]
[[?]] up to 1.3 cm ±  Culm sheath
rather persistant or late
deciduous. Blade very reduce, old
& small [[drawn triangle]], erect.

Few spines on one side
of branch complement.

Flowering [[/underlined]]. ± pseudospikelets,
but along [[?]]
diferences in length, (some short
& others much longer.
Not many [[symbol for 2nd]] pseudo spikelets
