Sept. 4, 1979 K 79-135 Bambusa Am, Rio Negro, igarape Dara near Santa Isabel (Tapurucudra) growing in igapo forest along igarape. Small [[?]] completely immerse. Culm leaning on vegetation, up to 5m ±. Heavy walls with small lumen in center of internode. Surface smooth. [[strikethrough]] Culm [[/strikethrough]] Internodes rather short. [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] up to 1.3 cm ± Culm sheath rather persistant or late deciduous. Blade very reduce, old & small [[drawn triangle]], erect. Few spines on one side of branch complement. 1 [[?]] ± thick [[?]] 4-t6 [[symbol for 2nd]] Flowering [[/underlined]]. ± pseudospikelets, but along [[?]] diferences in length, (some short & others much longer. Not many [[symbol for 2nd]] pseudo spikelets [[end page]] [[start page]] [[?]]. [[?]] some new shoots found (looks like the sp that de [[?]] collected near Manaus [[underlined]] Bulky material [[/underlined]]: internode & branch complement FAA: br & pseudospkl. We saw this bambu also growing & in flower later, next day in the rio Canaburi, above Santa Isabel.
