Slept for much of trip despite wanting to stay awake and see "Never Cry Wolf". Nearly the 1st time I've slept on a Rio flight.

Jim & LouAnn & Beth (Beche) meet me at Rio. Jim also trying to find Rollin Baker & wife Mary who were due to arrive previous evening.

My luggage doesn't arrive and we arrange to have it delivered to Poco dAnta. The Rio Airport supervisor of lost luggage - Ms Ruth Campos assures us that the luggage can be delivered, but suggests that the

film won't make it through since a rather hard Customs man is on next A.M.

Luggage, of course, cannot arrive for 24 hours, if then.

So, we discuss & write maps of CPRJ & leave in hope that luggage will be seen again, altho I have some considerable doubts.

We search in Rio for Rollin Baker - to the Consulate, to the Rio Palace Hotel where he was to be staying. We think of all alternatives & finally leave Rio.

Shopping is done halfway to RBPA at huge supermercado. I find
