time searching for food.

Search strategies differ, with some individuals stalking quietly &/or waiting (#7) while other individuals chase around at the nearest movement, e.g. they chase all over the cage whenever they see a butterfly.

The viveiro is wood support, chicken wire covered - ~45' long x 15' wide x 12' high and full of natural vegetation including several bromeliads which are used for hiding much food to provoke exploratory behavior. Animals explore on floor too & "floor" is one measure of behavior.
