We discuss & alter the protocols.

B & B had been collecting data on whether they thought an animal was in a horizontal or vertical position. There were hard judgment calls & they nor I understood why we were doing it.

Later discussions with Jim suggested that he wasn't quite sure why he wanted to do it. He thought he was thinking of postural differences described by Terborgh for the 5 Peruvian primate species that he studied. And we all finally decided that the measure was useless & that we would do well to add an activity measure.

We added a category set involving differentiating feeding, manipulating environment, social behavior, rest, coprophagy, etc.

Something we felt would differentiate individuals in the Kings Island Group & differentiate a captive from a wild animal.
