Had early AM swim, breakfast, back to shop to spend more money, and to airport to fly to Ilheus. Flight late & we land in Ilheus @ 1300 hrs.

Picked up by Saturnino & Wilson. Saturnino is Director of Reserve at Una.

We drive to Reserve.

SUMMARY OF UNA:

Reserve is over 5,000 ha, but in 2 unconnected parts.

The southern half has ~ 60 families as squatters. Getting rid of squatters is worst problem facing Reserve. Good forest is about 2700 ha.
