Ruth Mary Shelby Hurd

Ruth, who is unselfish, thoughtful, and considerate of others, was born in Kansas on Nov. 11th. She said "Yes" to Lt. James Hurd on Dec. 23, 1941. They have one son, James Jr., who is famous for his antics. Ruth plays bridge and pinochle and is fond of reading. Always ready to lend a hand, she is an asset to the Social-Program Committee.

Gloria Heleanor White Hutchins

"Ode To A Star" is one of the poems written by Gloria and published in Service Magazine. Although Gloria majored in Home Economics at Tuskegee Institute, she has always enjoyed writing poems, short stories, and essays. Born August 23rd in Atlanta, Georgia, Gloria taught school before her marriage to Capt. Frederick E. Hutchins on Nov. 3, 1946. Now they both center their attention on Eric Vaughn who is 7 months old. If you get stuck on a sewing problem or need a fourth for bridge, Gloria is willing to help out.

Dorothy Augusta Watkins James

Dot has such a sunny disposition. She was born in Tuskegee, Alabama on June 27 and attended the Institute there. On Nov. 3, 1942 she married Lt. Daniel James, our famous MC of "Operations Happiness." They have two children, Danice, 5 years
