Newport News, Va., that she was presented in a recital, the result of which gained her a scholarship to Virginia State College. Dates Violet doesn't forget are May 4th, her birthday and October 21, 1944, her marriage to Lt. Louis W. Johnson. She'll hardly forget the day little Louis Jr., now 17 months, was born either. For relaxation Violet likes to sew, bowl, or play pinochle.

Jane Jackson Jones

Tres petite best describes Jane, who was born on August 23rd in Charleston, W. Va. Having received her A.B. degree in education from West Virginia State College, Jane taught in Elementary School before her marriage to Capt. Hubert Jones on Oct. 1, 1942. While in school she was an active member of the AKA Sorority. Her two lively youngsters, Philip 5 years, and Diane, 2 years, require a lot of Jane's attention, but she manages to find time for reading, atletics, and the theater, her favorite diversions. She also enjoys playing pinochle.

Yvonne Marguerite Wright Knox

Yvonne is rapidly becoming one of our better bridge players. She was born in Atlanta, Ga., on August 27th. Before becoming a secretary at Tuskegee Army Air Field, "Bonnie," as she is called, attended Spellman College. She married Major George Levi Knox on Dec. 3, 1942. They have two vivacious sons, George and Johnny.
