Bernice Gladys Kirkpatrick

Bernice has spent most of her life in Chicago. There she was born on January 16th, attended Wilson Junior College, worked in a clerical position, and married Lt. Felix Kirkpatrick on May 28, . Of course, Carlos, her son takes up much of her time, but Bernice manages to sew, crochet, and to play bridge and pinochle.

Elaine Ursula Pollard Lynn

As to statistics, "Polly" was born in Lawrenceville, Va., on May 27th, married Lt. Samuel Lynn April 12, 1948, and has one tiny daughter, only a few days old. The training Elaine received at Fisk University where she earned her A.B. and M.A. degrees and made Delta Sorority, and at the University of Minnesota where she spent a year on a Rosenwald Foundation Fellowship prepared her for a most interesting career. Personnel Interviewer and Counsellor at Bell Aircraft, school teacher, Red Cross Worker in Corsica, and Social Research Writer for the American Friends Service Committee are some of the jobs she liked best. Polly also found time to play ping pong, knit, collect classical records, produce plays, write radio script, teach dancing to G.I.'s and travel. At present she is organizing the Fisk Club in Columbus.
