Elvira Minerva Bowles McWilliams

Elvira keeps an excellent check on our club funds. She is serving her second tour as Treasurer. Born on May 2, Elvira spent her childhood in Hopkinsville, Ky. Her Alma Mater is Kentucky State College, where she majored in English. December 25th is doubly important to her as she and Chaplain Alfred Edward exchanged marriage vows on Christmas Day in 1936. They have two sons, Alfred Edward, Jr., 11 years and Stanley, 9 years. Her hobbies are reading and doing community work. Elvira belongs to the AKA Sorority and the Ministers' Interdenominational Wives Club.

Louise Leonard Mohr

Louise says that being an Army Wife is one of the most broadening, educational experiences she has known. Thought for formal training she turned to Wayne University in her own home town of Detroit, living in the South, West, and East has provided an even more important part of her development, Louise feels. She has a regret, however, between her son, Dean Jr., and moving about with her husband, she has been unable to keep up with her harp playing, basketball, tennis, and bridge. Her current interests are chiefly photography and record collecting. Louise will celebrate two important days in October, the 11th, her birthday and the 22nd, her seventh anniversary.
