Ruth Louis Hedrick Hayes

It's a real thrill to be able to say "I made it myself!" Ruth has a wealth of things she labels thus. Her artistic talent is evidenced by her beautiful sewing, painting, and interior decorating. Ruth received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Art Institute in Chicago. On Sept. 13, 1942 she and Lt. Harold Carl Hayes were married; they have three children: Marcella, 5 years; Harol Jr., 3 years; and Diane, 9 months. One might wonder how Ruth finds time for pinochle, bridge, golf, and bowling, her favorite games. She manages though, and even does a splendid job on the Publicity Committee.

Rose Lynn Williamson Lane

Rose is gay and so likeable. She hails from the sunny south, Tuskegee Institute, Alabama where she was born September 3rd. Rose attended Englewood High School in Chicago and Fisk University. On March 25, 1943 while attending Tuskegee Institute she married Lieutenant Allan G. Lane. They have on daughter, Sheryl, 4. Rose is a bridge enthusiast, a theater goer, and a lover of books.
