HOUSEHOLD HINTS

When houseplants need moisture, water them thoroughly and then let the soil dry out. Daily watering does more harm than good.

When served on mashed potatoes, hot biscuits, bread, dressing, spaghetti or rice--gravy not only extends the good flavor of meat, but also adds nourishment to the meal. The fat in the drippings has energy value and research has shown that some of the vitamins in the meat go into the drippings during cooking.

For nutritious meals try to use the following foods each day: milk, meat, poultry, fish or eggs; green, yellow and other vegetables; fresh fruits, whole grain, restored, or enriched cereals.

All women are concerned about their measurements whether they need correction, figuratively speaking or not. Below, you will find the five principal sizes with their correct measurements.

The best or correct size to compare with is the one that offers the least amount of correction from your five principal points of measurement.

[[underlined]] Measurement in Inches[[/underlined]]
[[table of 7 columns]]
[[underlined]]
Size | Bust | Waist | Hips | Thigh | Calf | Ankle
32 | 32 | 21-22 | 32 | 19 | 12 | 7
34 | 34 | 23-24 | 34 | 20 | 12 1/2 | 7 1/2
35 | 35 | 24-25 | 35 | 21 | 13 | 8
36 | 36 | 25-26 | 36 | 22 | 13 1/2 | 8 1/2
38 | 38 | 27-28 | 38 | 23 | 14 | 9

Posture rules, the careerists are reminded, are of vital importance. You might meet the measurements above, but if you don't maintain good posture you are out of luck. Good posture does reduce the waist-line and hips, and so is important to figure success.
