where he served for the next 4 years. In January 1945, he took command of the 466th BG (H) - B-24s - in the 8th AF, which was located at Attlebridge, England. After V-J Day, once again he was assigned to the Training Command. In the fall of 1945, he attended the First Command Course at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Upon graduation he was again assigned to Hq of the Technical Training Command at Scott Field. He was an observer of the "Baker" test at Bikini before reporting to Maxwell as a student in the first class of the AWC, 46-47. After graduation, he went to Alaska where he served on the CINCAL Staff and late in Hq Alaskan Air Command. In August 1949, he returned to Maxwell on the Staff and Faculty of the AWC. Junie's hobby is golf, a 90 shooter (for the record). His wife Joyce is from San Antonio, Texas. Children are Splinters (13) and Mike (8). 

JERMAIN F. RODENHAUSER, Colonel, 933A

"Jerry" was born July 2, 1909, and calls Toledo, Ohio, his home. He graduated from USMA in June 1931, whereupon he joined the Coast Artillery Corps. He served with various anti-aircraft regiments, including a three-year tour in Panama during which he graduated from the aerial observers school in 1933. He transferred to the Ordnance Department in 1935 and attended M.I.T. in 1936-37, graduating with an M.S. degree. After service in various arsenal assignments, he became Commanding Officer of the Plum Brook Ordnance Works, Sandusky, Ohio, in February 1941. In Charge of the design, construction and operation of this munitions facility until July 1942, he was ordered to the field and commanded the 43rd, 13th and 17th Ordnance Maintenance Battalions successively. From November 1942 until December 1943, he served as Deputy Chief, Maintenance Division, OCO-Detroit. In January 1944 he was selected for the WD Logistics Mission to MTO and ETO and was ordered overseas. In May 1944, he was ordered to P&O Division, Headquarters, ASF, where he remained until March 1945. when he was assigned to the Engineering Division, OCO-Washington. Assigned to the USSBS in September 1945, he was ordered to Tokyo, Japan. Upon completion of duties with USSBS in June 1946, he was assigned to the faculty of the Air War College. In June 1949, he became Academic Director of the Air War College. His new assignment is to the National War College as a student. His wife, Helen, is from Newport, Rhode Island. Children are Mary (11) and Karl (5). 

JOHN F. SPLAIN, Lt. Colonel, USAF, 4157A

"Jack: was born 8 Feb. 1917 in Washington, D.C. Graduation from the US Naval Academy in June 1939 was followed by a year's service as a Gunnery Officer in the Cruiser Brooklyn. He then joined the Destroyer Trever as Asst. Navigator and Gunnery Officer, and in Nov. 1940 transferred to US Army,
