months he was transferred to Hill Field, Utah to command and train the 31st Air Depot Group. He moved to England with this organization late in 1943 and served at Honnington, Wharton, and Stanstead as CO and Deputy CO. After the war he was stationed at Brookley Field and at Gadsden Spec. Supply Depot. He was sent to the Manhattan District at Oak Ridge for an indoctrination course in atomic lore. After that, a tour of duty was spent at Kelly AFB, before reporting to the AWC. His proposed assignment is Chief of Supply Division, FEAF, Tokyo, Japan. His wife Ann-Marie (Marie) is from Pendleton, Ore. Children are Paul (age 15), David (7), Wally (6) and Laurie (3).

D'ROSS ELLIS, COLONEL, USAF, 953A

   "D" born 11 October 1906, Kemp, Oklahoma. Stillwater, Oklahoma present home. Graduate Oklahoma ASM, 1930 and Kelly Field July 1933. Served Brooks Field, 12th Observation Group until August 1935. Returned to service as flying instructor at Randolph Field, 1937, remaining until 1940. Directed civilian flying schools at Albany, Georgia, and Ponca City, Oklahoma, until 1942. Ordered back to Randolph Field in 1942, and served in flying training section, A-3, until December 1944. Ordered overseas 1944, served successively as CO, 514 Service Group and Deputy Co, 460th Bomb Group in Italy. Returned to U. S. in 1945 by way of South America, serving 6 months as CO, Air Force Base, Belem, Brazil. Ordered to Far East, 1946, serving in China and Japan, returning in 1949. New assignments: Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, Texas. Wife - Jettie is from Henryetta, Oklahoma. One son, George (age 8).

RICHARD E. ELLSWORTH, COLONEL, USAF, 1115A
   Like the five million other Richards, is known as "Dick." Born 18 July 1911 in Erie, Pa. Graduated from high school in Erie prior to starting his nomadic career. Prep School - Millard's in Washington, D. C. USMA 1931-1935. Graduated flying school 1936 and went to Mitchel Field for two years. Instructed at Kelly and Brooks Field for two more years. Graduated from Cal Tech 1941. Stationed at McCellan Field until June 1943, except for short tours on TDY in Alaska, and Pacific. 1943-1945 assigned to Air Forces in CBI. After the war was A-3 Air Weather Service in Washington until August 1946. Then assigned as Group CO, 308the Recon. Group (Wea) VLR. From there to student AWC. After a most informative and pleasant year he hopes to hold his assignment as Plans 2nd AF, Barksdale Field, La. Hobbies - golf, hunting, real estate and blondes. Hiw wife, Mary Anne (Thornton), being a good Air Force wife comes from San Antonio, Texas. Children - Dicko (age 11), Paul (age 9), Pooh (age 3). For your edification, Pooh is a boy formally named.Robert.
