the GCACTC at Randolph Field. During the war was Ordnance Officer with the 11th Armored Division and the Ninth Army Headquarters. Commanded the 79th Ordnance Group in the European Theater. Assigned to Ogden Arsenal after the war and later commanded Tooele Ordnance Depot at Tooele, Utah. After transfer to the Air Force was assigned to the Field Office for Atomic Energy at Kirkland AFB, Albuquerque, and attended the AWC from this assignment. Next station is at Sandia Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico with the Armed Force Special Weapons Project. His wife, Allyn, is the daughter of Colonel Webster A. Capron now living in Asheville, North Carolina. Children are Paul Capron (age 10), Mary Allyn (age 8), Frank (age 6), and Georgeanna (age 3).

CONROD J. HERLICK, COLONEL, USAF, 1567A

"Joe" was born near Los Angeles, California on 10 Aug. 1910, and claims Palo Alto, California as his legal residence. He entered Randolph Field, Texas as a flying cadet in October 1934, and received his wings at Kelly Field, Texas in October 1935. After graduation from Kelly Field, he served with the 9th Bombardment Group at Mitchel Field, N. Y. and the 17th Attack Group at March Field, California. In 1937-1938, he was a pilot for Pan American Grace Airlines in South America, returning to duty with the Air Corps in Oct. 1938 when he received a regular commission. He participated in the first B-17 flight from San Francisco to Hawaii in May 1941. On 7 Dec. 1941, he was Assistant A-3 of the 1st Bombardment Wing at Davis-Monthan Field, Tucson, Arizona, and was then assigned to anti-submarine patrol duty on the West Coast. In 1943, he was assigned to Hq, 4th AF as Assistant A-3 and became DC/S for Operations in July 1944. Was assigned to the 20th AF in June 1945 and stationed on Tinian Island with the 58th Bomb Wing. In Nov. 1945, he was assigned to the 20th AF Hq, as DC/S for Operations. In June 1947, he became Chief of Staff of the 20th AF. He returned to the ZI in late 1947, and was on duty in the Pentagon until August 1949 when he came to the AWC. His proposed assignment is back to the Pentagon and duty with Plans and Operations. Joe's hobbies are golf, fishing, and hunting. His wife, Joanne, is from Palo Alto, California. One daughter, Christine Ann (age 5).

DANIEL E. HOOKS, COLONEL, USAF, 1166A

"Dan" or "Danny" was born December 11, 1908, seven miles out in the country from Iowa Park, Texas. Maintains legal domicile in Wichita County, Texas, of course.[[!?]] Obtained a BS degree from Texas Christian University in 1929, and an MA from Harvard University in 1932. Signed up as a flying cadet on June 29, 1932, and received his wings in June 1933. He spent 20 months on active duty at Brooks Field, and was fortunate enough to get a regular commission on June 30, 1935. There followed four years at Randolph Field as a flying instructor, then two and one-half years more on PT's as one of the Air Corps Supervisors at three different civilian contract flying schools:-Dallas, Fort Worth, and Bonham, Texas, were the locations. Just as the war started he was assigned to the Air Service Command, and spent the war first at the
