wife. He attended Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania and later the University of Virginia. After serving an apprenticeship in the newspaper business, he graduated from Kelly in July 1932 and spent two years on active duty in Panama. Three years of civilian advertising and Public Relations experience followed. In 1938 he returned to active duty in the Air Corps at Randolph Field, Texas, instructing on primary stage ad later on BT-9s for almost three years. Another couple of years were spent on the staff of the Gulf Coast Training Center, also at Randolph. In the winter of 1942 he was assigned to the War Department, representing the Air Force on the Army Public Relations Division, and also was Deputy Director. Then came an extensive inspection trip into Africa, India, China,, and finally Russian (including Moscow) as escort for Eddie Rickenbacker. In the fall of 1943 he joined the planning staff of the Allied Expeditionary Air Normandy Invasion, by duty with Headquarters Ninth Air Force. Duty at the School of Applied Tactics, Orlando, Florida, and the Air University came in 1945-46, followed by two years in Washington as Chief, Information division, Air Force Public Information. From the Air War College he goes to TD in Washington for indoctrination,, thence to Mexico as Air Attache. His wife, Alice, as said earlier is a Kansas City, Texas gal. no children.

FRANCIS E. NUESSLE, COMMANDER, USN, 71539

Frank was born 23 January 1911 and calls Bismark, N.D. his home. He attended the University of North Dakota for one term and thereafter went to the Naval Academy from which he graduated in 1932. He served as an Ensign on the USS Saratoga before going to flight training in 1934. After completion of the course at Pensacola he served four years in carrier squadrons followed by two years of flight test work at the Naval Aircraft Factory. In June of 1941 he took command of an anti-submarine aircraft squadron and later of an anti-submarine group, both of which operated in the North Atlantic and the Bay of Biscay. This duty was followed by command of a Liberator training school, two years of duty in Naval Operations, Navy Dept., and two years as Executive Officer of the USS Princeton, CV-37. His wife, Elizabeth, is from Chevy Chase, Md. Children are Warren (age 14), Francis and William (7) and Virginia (5).

LAWRENCE B. OCAMB, COLONEL, USAF 1315A

"Larry" or "Tex" was born 19 May 1912 in Kansas City, Kansas. He lived in and attended schools in both Kansas and Texas, and he attended the Univ. of Maryland. Before the war, he worked for several newspapers and was active in several engineering research projects. In early 1940, he went ot the U.K. and joined the RAF. During the period he was stationed at Loughborough, Kosford, Keriloss, Waton, West Raynahm, Massingham, Linton-On-Ouse and Polebrook. In Oct. 1941 he accompanied
