in Oct. 1932. He graduated from Kelly Field in Pursuit in Oct. 1933. He served two years extended active duty at March Field, Calif. in the 34th Pursuit Sq., then reverted to inactive status. He was recalled in 1936 and spent two years at Albrook Field, C. Z. in the 29th Pursuit Sq. While in Panama, he received his regular commission, Oct. 1, 1938. From Panama he went to Randolph Field for 1 1/2 years instructing in Primary and Basic, then two years at Civilian Primary Contract Schools at Santa Maria, and Visalia, Calif. He went to the B-17 Transition School in Sebring, FLa. in 1942 and held various jobs from flying instructor to Director of Training. In 1944 he became Director of Training of the B-29 Transition School at Maxwell Field, Ala. In April of 1946 he went to Germany and in a 3-year tour held the following positions in order names: Deputy CO and Executive Officer of 40th Bomb Wing; Chief of Supply, European Air Materiel Command; Training and Operations Inspector, Air Inspectors Sections, Hq, USAFE; CO, Landsberg Air Ammunition Depot; CO 7210th Maintenance Group, and from there to AWC. His proposed assignment is SAC - CO, 27th AB Group, Bergstrom Field, Tex. His hobbies are hunting, fishing, diving and squash. His wife, Martha, is from Michigan but claims California as her home. Children are Phyllis (age 11), and Ginger (7).

"Joe" was born March 10, 1907 and calls West New York, New Jersey, his home. He attended the Newark College of Engineering and upon graduation went into the construction and maintenance field. In 1938 he was ordered to duty with the Civilian Conservation Corps and served with that organization until the outbreak of war at which time he was ordered to the Ordnance School at Aberdeen, Maryland. Upon completion of the course he was assigned to the Muroc Air Force Base. Late in 1942 he went overseas with the Ninth Air Force and saw service throughout the Middle East with fighter and Bomber units. After the fall of North Africa, he went to Italy with the 12th Air Force and served until VE Day. Upon return to the States he was assigned to the Supply Division of the San Antonio Air Depot until the summer of 1947. In 1948 he was graduated from the Command and General Staff College and reported for duty with the General Staff of the Department of the Army from which assignment he came to the Air War College. Upon graduation he will report to the Far East Command in Yokohama, Japan. Joe's hobbies include woodworking, fishing, and photography. His wife Anne is from West New York, New Jersey. Joe, Jr. (age 9) makes up the rest of the family.

"Pop" was born 1 December 1940 in Raton, New Mexico. It didn't take him too long to get out to Watsonville, California which he claims as his home. He was in the class of 1933 at the University of California at Berkeley, getting an AB in Economics and History. He joined the Air Corps in 1937, graduating from Kelly Field in 1938 from the Observation Section. He has been in the Aerial Mapping and Reconnaissance business continuously since that time rounding
