Dill Fld., Gander, Newfoundland, and on anti-sub duty.  After group moved to Boise, Idaho, became squadron commander (B-17) in OTU and TRU training program.  Assigned as Chief of Staff, 15th Bomb Wng. from Nov. 1943 until departure for overseas in Jan. 1944.  Flew 38 missions in Italy as squadron commander of 376th Gp. (B-24), A-3, 47th Wing, and as Group Comdr., 376th Gp.  Returned to USA with 376th Group in May 1945 and remained in command while group converted to B-29s for redeployment to Pacific.  Transferred to DCS/P, Hq. USAF, in Oct. 1945, and served in Pentagon 3 1/2 years -- two years as Chief, Personnel Procurement Div., and a year and a half as Deputy Director, Personnel Planning.  Proposed assignment is Director of Operations, FEAF, Tokyo, Japan.  Hobbies: golf and fishing.  His wife, Daisy Wall, is from Tampa, Fla.  Children are Robert Jr., (age 6), and Barbara (3 1/2).

RALPH L. WASSELL, COLONEL, USAF, 1730A

     Ralph was born 6 April 1910 in Higgins, Texas.  He received his wings in June 1932, and had 2 years Pursuit Training in 1933-35.  He graduated for Okla. U. in 1934 in Mech. Engineering. He spend 2 1/2 years as an experimental engineer with Lycoming Aircraft Engine Co. in Pa.  Following this engineering experience, he returned to duty in mid 1938 and has had continuous service since, receiving his regular commission in 1939.  He is a graduate of the Engineering Sch. at Wright Fld., and earned his master's degree in engineering at Stanford Univ. in 1942.  During the war, he was assigned to AMC in the field of aircraft engine development.  He had several trouble-shooting assignments from 1942 to 1945 in connection with service maintenance difficulties.  After the war, he remained at Wright Fld., and assisted in the development of the present AF program for aircraft engines.  He became the first Wright Fld. Project Officer on the program for the development of atomic energy for the propulsion of aircraft, and attended the 1st special course in Reactor engineering sponsored by the AF during the summer of 1947.  He left this type of duty to attend the 1949-50 AWC course.  His proposed assignment is with the Atomic Energy Commission in the Reactor Development Div.  Ralph's hobbies are fishing and boating.  His wife, Mary Lee, is from Llano. Texas, and has one child, John (age 13).

HOWARD E. WEBSTER, LT. COLONEL, USAF, 2573A

     "Pinky" was born September 19, 1909 at Providence, R. I., called Albany, N. Y., his home.  After serving 1928-29 in the Air Corps in the Canal Zone he was appointed to the USMA, graduating in 1933, commissioned in the Cavalry.  He served as platoon leader and troop commander in regiments on the Mexican Border until 1936, when he transferred to the Corps of Engineers.  Attending MIT he was awarded MS in Civil Engineering in 1937, and worked on river and harbor and flood control projects as Assistant to the District Engineer, Boston, Mass.  He graduated from the Engineer School, Ft. Belvoir, Va., in 1939 and served with the Staff and Faculty until
