January 20, 1950

Dear Mr. Baker:

Thank you for your letter of January 17th.

I am indeed sorry to hear that you cannot consider the purchase of the painting by BRAQUE at present.

I am, however, much looking forward to have the privilege of receiving your visit, which I gather and trust will be in the near future, when I will enjoy showing you the painting.

As regards you kind inquiry as to the photograph, may I suggest that you keep it until you are about to leave for New York, at which time I would be obliged to you for returning it.

Sincerely yours,

(Germain Seligman)
