May 11th., 1944. Dear Mr. Block: May I start these lines by saying I hope the reason I did not hear from you about the little DEGAS was not the continued illness of Mrs. Block, and that on the other hand, she is quite well again. It was indeed a pleasure to have your visit, and I do trust that on another of your trips to our city you may have a bit more leisure and will drop in again, thus giving me the pleasure of showing you other paintings by the great modern artists, which time did not allow [[strikethrough]]n[[/strikethrough]]^[[l]]axt week. Looking forward to this opportunity, Sincerely yours, (Germain Seligmann) Leigh Block, Esq., 1260 N. Astor Street, Chicago, Ill.
Transcription Notes:
In the second to last line of the letter, it appears that it was originally typed as "next" week then changed the "n" to an "l" but the "x" from next remained.
