December 2nd, 1932.

My dear Walter:

Just a line to tell you that the things at the George Blumenthal Sale today went even better than they had yesterday.

The big price of the day was the larger Riesener Table, which sold for 605,000.Francs, plus 14%; the Clodion which sold for Frcs.410,000, plus 14%; and the Savonnerie Carpet for Frcs. 351,000.,plus 14%. The fine Falconet sold for Frcs.210,000.

I am sorry that we could not get anything for you. On the other hand, we have to be pleased also that these things sold so well, as in several instances they fetched practically the price Mr. Blumenthal had paid and this is, after all, a period of great depression, where you kindly offered to make me a present of the Heckscher Building.

I hope I will have the pleasure to see you soon again.

Kindly believe me,
Yours sincerely,

Walter Blumenthal, Esq.,
50 Central Park West,
New York City
