February 18th. 1956

Dear Mr. Brown:

I truly enjoyed your letter of the 10th and shall look forward to receiving one of those new brochures when they are published.

As regards a lecturer-teacher for August or September, I have written one of our group, Ethel Magafan, from whom you may hear directly. She is exceptional among women artists, not temperamental modest about her own success, well traveled and of a very pleasing personality. Of course I have mentioned that you were contacting Xavier Gonzales. However I rather suspect you are perfectly capable of doing the job yourself, but perfectly well understand an outsider is welcome from time to time " Miss Magafan" is really "Mrs." and her husband , also quite young- about 35 ? would probably accompany her.

Again, the new issue of Perspectives does not carry the Selden Rodman article on Lebrun. Did you get the "Eye of Man" as if not, we could lend you our copy over the summer when New York is quite inactive.

I particularly enjoyed what you wrote about your livestock duties, as I believe I should have been a farmer and at this time of the year the urge to be in the country is strongest .

Yours very sincerely,

Mrs. T.D. Parker
