Dear Mrs. Parker:

I was supprised and to say the least honored to be invited to try my hand at drawing you a Christmas card.

Although drawing with pen and in was never a strong point in my efforts, I am sending three, realizing that they all have certain weaknesses. One has the things you said you would like me to do, an the other are more or less my own invention. I have never seen a card which quoted Chapter one - St. John. To me it seems appropriate to the idea of Christmas.
