several of the Texas artists you mention.

You know that in the back of the issue page, fifty-three, is an article intitled "Why do executives paint?" and it occured to me that this is really where I perhaps belong because after all if a rancher is "half fudal lord and half day laborer" he is somewhat of an executive too.

The painting I sent to you has been destroyed; however I have a much more representational work with children recieving First Holy Communion. I should like to tackle a set of illustrations for the Misal used in my church (Roman Catholic) for the words are to me inspirational; however I wonder if I could carry it off without mixing abstract and representational elements.

I have a commission to paint six mural size paintings for a Hotel in West Texas but still envy the executive who has two days a week to devote to painting. My plans for New York are indefinate. Best Wishes.

Sincerely Yours,
