Miss Kate Buckingham
2450 Lakeview Avenue
Chicago, Ill.

Dear Miss Buckingham:

When I had the pleasure of speaking to you over the telephone the other day when I was in Chicago, I forgot to tell you about a very important little tapestry which we have just received from Paris. It is probably one of the most remarkable small tapestries we have had for many years, as apart from the quality and design, it is of extremely exceptionable dimensions as it measures 6 ft. 4 by 6 ft. 10.

As you know from your own experience, tapestries of this period and of this size, particularly when they are in the condition that this one is ^[[insertion]] in [[/insertion]] are intensely rare and very seldom come upon the market. It occurred to me that you might be able to place this tapestry in your apartment, and I am therefore taking the liberty of sending you a photograph of it. If you feel after having seen this photograph, that you would like to see the tapestry itself, we shall be very pleased to send it to you on approval without any risk or obligation to you whatsoever.

Taking this opportunity to thank you for your extreme courtesy to me, and with my kind regards in which Mr. Seligmann joins me,

Believe me to be,
Yours sincerely,
