"Dry open places Palisades riverbanks" [note 2] Charles T. Mohr (1824-1901) author of comprehensive flora of Alabama, was collecting mostly in Alabama, but also in SE United States for the USDA during the 1880s. Not sure which state he was in for this speciman. Lots of Palisades in GeoNames.
