Sept 7th 5th + 6th Armies heavily engaged. Germans slightly repulsed
Sept 8th enemy continued retreat. Much opposition encountered, many captures
Sept 9th 1st & 2d Army Corps crossed Marne. 6th Army heavily engaged, successfully. 5th Army after very severe fighting drove enemy north of river.
Sept 10th Advance resumed. Germans in full retreat.

From Aug 23d till Sept 17th British continually engaged without day's halt or rest of any kind.
