Herrick. Met DuBouchet, Mrs George Munroe, etc. etc. Went over part of hospital. Wonderful place. Back to lunch at the Embassy. Mr & Mrs Herrick, Mrs Blacque whom I liked, Mr & Mrs [[blank]]  Dr Martin Mr Bacon and self. Monday Nov. 16th. That we have been offered by the French Government to the Belgium Government.  We have been accepted by them and are supposed to extablish ourselves on Belgium soil.  DuBouchet had been to see the Belgium Government, he was informed (on which he considered good authority) that in three weeks the Germans would be pushed back and that we could establish ourselves!
