a place called Azincourt owned by Klotz.  On the road close by two Americans in khaki with red cross brassards. We stopped to speak to them. Yes, they were from Azincourt. Only sixteen wounded (they can hold 40) A lull. For the last four days they have heard no cannon, before that they heard it continuously. They seemed to think there would be more doing down the Soissons way. Phil & I were left on the road a little way from his office with the two motors.  Soldiers passed - 3 German prisoners too, one with a wheel barrow all working and looking cheerful. I was studying my maps for our road, figuring if we could get to Dunkirk by night. I noticed everyone stared very hard. Its unusual to see a woman up there especially in a motor run by a soldier. It seems that I was reported at Headquarters while the doctor & B. were there.  Luckily for me they were there and explained who I was and showed papers. B. said it was strange to hear the officer come in & report a woman
