To a few people of course I shall talk.  I can tell them my little experiences and can make much of my feelings so as to cover the lack of fact. Get a good bit of names of different kinds of French soldiers, convois, sanitaires, places you have been through anecdotes - gravis - aeroplanes, slippery roads, stopping at Poix, postal cars, mitrailleuse etc and there you are, every one will be much more interested than if you had a serious opinion to give. Write it out and learn it by heart.  Crib it, enlarge & so on but only to an artistic end.
