Just before going into the town of Montdidier we met on the road two obvious American Khaki clad Red Cross men whom we rightly suppossed to come from Agincourts.  For the last 2 days they said they had heard no cannons it was the first time in weeks.  Just my luck, I thought.  It was going to be busy in the Soissons direction they believed!

Lassegry is about 15 K. from Montdidier.  A lot of fighting had been going on there.  Not many blessés in recently - only 16 in the hospital at Agincourt at present.

As if they expected more now we passed a great many Ambulances in the road to Montdidier & Amiens.

At Cagny, a few kilometers this side of Amiens we stopped for that is general Castelneaus Headquarters.  General
