I have never seen trees come out of the ground like that. Huge trees; not just the small ones. The twin oaks in front of Mrs. Douglass's cottage at the beach were torn apart as if someone had cut them with an ax. One crashed through the roof. It tore the roof all to pieces and damaged the rooms on that side of the house. After I saw her house I thanked heaven that I was hurt such a little. The house is so old I really expected it to blow away
It's still there- thank goodness!
