It was with great joy and pleasure I read of your recent promotion - a "Brigadier General" is a great triumph - God bless you - and may you continue to go on.

I wrote you when you were in Corea. I hope you received it - your father gave me the address.

Ernest and myself are fairly well. Just two old folks making home for each other- I  would appreciate one of your recent pictures
