Dear General Davis & Aggie,

Please accept our belated congratulations. You know we were pleased to learn the news

Don't know what happened to your card Aggie, but it just arrived last week.

The children and I arrived on 14 October so we've had time to get ourselves more or less organized. Our quarters are nice and quite spacious. They are far better than any we have had in the past.

Waddell is taking a course in German at the University of Maryland Extension School, the children are getting German in school and I'm simply catching it on a few occasions when I run into non-English speaking persons. Guess we will all have a vague knowledge of the language before leaving here.

Hope your holiday season is a happy one.

Will write soon.

Steve & Mildred
