Brig. Gen. B. O. Davis
Headquarters, U. S. Air Force
Pentagon
Washington 25, D. C.

Dear Gen. Davis:

The Dodo Club of Chicago extends to you our most sincere congratulations on your recent promotion, an achievement exceeded only by the worthiness of the recipient.

A reunion of all the ole' gang from Tuskegee, Godman, Mather, Selfridge, Oscoda, Freeman, Walterboro and Lockbourne Air Force Bases (99th, 100th, 301st, 302nd and 477th) is planned, to take place in Chicago 7-12 August 1955. We're planning out activities to provide a minimum of regimentation by not cluttering up the agenda with too many meetings, speeches, etc. Rather, we plan fun fests such as picnics, dances, banquet, etc., with perhaps one organized meeting so we can pay homage to our Alma Mater, the U.S. Air Force leaving plenty of time for moseying around to rekindle old friendships and catch up on the latest happenings all over the world.

The Dodo Club has its inception at Godman Field during the reign of the 477th Bomb Group and is composed of personel from the Chicago area.

No one more fitting and proper would suffice as out principal guest and speaker than yourself. We ask your most ardent consideration.

Respectfully,

Henry Hervey Ahmed Rayner, Jr. Co-Chairmen William Jackson
