Your of the 3 was Duley Recei'd and Read with inters the taking of fort Hatters had spred theru our section I was very sory to hear tell of that frowing old over-Banin scondrel Butler I Doant like a hare in his head I See he Crows ver Much about it thow I was not much surprised wen I herd of it you and me was talking about the same thing I told you I herd them talking about landing some ware along the Cast some ware But I think we have th North very much skairt about Washington sitty I Begin to Beleave our armey will have Washington or make a great Effert if they Could and take old abe prisner I think the war wod stop to a great Extent I was sory to have to Col on you for Money at this time wile things is in such a motion But I had to By Pork an I Bought hogs and [[Beenes?]] and Clothing I thought I wod Doe it Before Every thing got skarce an high I hav paid out all of my [[punz? purse?]] gold and all and some of the men wants money nex saterday an I havnt Eny to give then that Pork William Bagley sent havnt arivd yet I herd of it is at Wilmington I had to By 4 [[Barley? Barles?]] wich I Paid 30 Dollars for I sent the freight to Wilmington so I suspose it will Come on Before long.
