This morning, we had several blowouts, so we were terribly delayed, and there was no chance of getting into town early. I am the only one here, at present, and that is only because some people picked me up and took me to the station.

I have organized, at last, with the labor men, noon day speaking, at factories. This involves much time and work, but it is well worth while, and I think we are going to do great educational work, as a result. I am enclosing a state platform which, I think, you will like.

Everybody is very busy, and there is not much else to say except that we are having conferences, and talking at meetings, and doing all kinds of odds and ends. Besides, I have to be on my league job, also on the State Factory Investigating work, so that we are pretty busy.

You heard of how wonderful T. R. [[strikethrough]] behaved [[/strikethrough]] ^[[was]] after he was shot. That he went to his meeting and spoke before he had his wound[[strikethrough]]ed[[/strikethrough]] attended to, and that his first message to the people, through Beveridge, was splendid. If I have it anywhere, I shall try to send it to you, but it's mighty hard to keep track of newspapers and other things, as well as doing the other work. Roosevelt
