Dearest Dodo:-

Jolly news form Gretchen! She is coming to see you and will reach you the evening of the tenth, will arrive about 7 o'clock in the evening and will not call upon you that day unless you send her word to Mrs. Moir's as the train may be late and it may be too exciting for you. She will come and see you on Wednesday morning .

What wonderful news Gretchen writes of Chicago and the women registering! Is it not fine to think they are answering the call so splendidly? The people here say that Gretchen is running for Alderman! I wonder if that is really true. Wont it be exciting and funny? She writes that she sent you all the pictures of the women and the account in the newspapers. After great difficulty and a great deal of work, we have established a free Bureau Of Employment for women at the League
