Dorothea.

Vassar is one of his special chums. We had a very happy day but we did miss all of you and wished that we might pounce in upon you and Mary and Kate and be with you in Saranac.

I have just been called to Washington to attend the meeting of Industrial Relations Commission. They are to make plans for the winter's work and Mr. Frank Walsh, the chairman, has invited me to be present. It looks very much as though I would have to go and if I do I will send you a postal card from there. I will have to leave here on Sunday and attend the meeting in Washington on Monday. I am looking forward with much pleasure to seeing Mr. and Mrs. Post while there and will be their guest for the few hours I am in the city and out of committee meeting. I of course will fly right back again to be home for New Year Eve.

Things are happening so fast these days and keep hammering away at one so hard that I am soon going to rebel - the trouble is that one doesn't even have time to rebel!

With much love to you and every wish for a very happy and a very beautiful new year,

Devotedly your sister,
