Dearest Dad:-

I arrived in Chicago yesterday afternoon four hours late but considered myself lucky when I heard that other trains from New York were very much later.

I hope you got my postal card from Utica and my letter from the train and that they did not get lost in some snowdrift on the way.

Raymond is traveling continuously throughout Illinois and every so often jumps over into Indiana or Michigan or Minnesota and I have to make engagements with my husband in order to get a glimpse of him at all.
