I take the Opportunity of Wrighten you a Few lines for I have understood that you have Wrote to Peter Burges to send you the Names of twelve men that Can stand the Pretest of the oath of 1862 untill the Present time Jeneral i want to know if a Deserter from the united stats servise can stand six of them mens Names he has sent you is Deserters from my Company and Rigament Wilson Duncan North Carolina Camlin Country Belongin to the first Rigament of North Ca union Volentears Co D inlisted in the 10 of Augest 1862 and musterd out 22 of June 1865  Camp Chatunager Back of Nubern

this is the Reason i Want to know Why the Deserters Names should Be sent to you for such Aucapasion When some of them have such Bad Reppresentations and some of then are Very Good men i had one son to Die in the army and one Was Discarge the same time i Was My age is Fifty Foor yeare
