Sir

I understand that you are authorised by the freedmans relief society, to purchase a place for the purpose of erecting an institute.  As I am authorised to sell a place which I think is most suitable for such a purpose, I write you a brief description of the place.  It is the property of my Father Maj W M Sneed where he now lives.  

The plantation containing eighteen hundred acres of the very best land is situated two miles from Townesville, Granville Co. N.C., half miles from the Roanoke Valley rail road four miles from the river.  The residence is a most beautiful place containing a dwelling of twelve rooms out houses of every description.
