The rays of the setting sun were so fine on the rocks and foam that I decided to make another sketch which I did and is the best one of the three.

I stayed at the cove until half past six it is dark then you know! The cove was very impressive with the sea rushing in and the young moon rising in back of the rocks veiled with a tender mackerel [[strikethrough]]sky[[/strikethrough]] cloud.

Read King Lear last night and liked it better than I have ever before. I will have to turn to Nietshe now as I have finished all the plays. when I get thru with him there will be nothing left for me but the french dictionary. but joy it will be time to leave here then!

To say that I am lonely without you is [[strikethrough]] nolies [[/strikethrough]] no lie. I wish you were here when I am lonely, and take a walk and throw stones. I have not been upon the beach since the last time with you. I hope this mornings mail will bring a letter from you.
